Coach Information

Coach Gilbert, a 2014 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High, enters his 4th year of teaching at LFO. As a student at LFO, he lettered all four years for the Warrior Football and Track & Field Teams from 2010-2013.

Before returning to LFO, Coach Gilbert attended Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa where he participated for the Vikings Football and Track and Field teams. While a player for GVU, he was part of four consecutive conference titles and playoff berths (2014-2017). He then served as a Graduate Assistant in 2019 and 2020, when the Vikings made it to the NAIA Football Semi-Finals and Quarterfinals, respectively. 

In his final year as the Outside Linebackers Coach for GVU, the Vikings made it to the NAIA National Championship and finished the season as National Runners-Up and 14-1 overall.

 
Coach Gilbert received his undergraduate in Political Studies; Public Administration, and his Masters in Organizational Leadership. He is the son of Randy and Henrietta Gilbert, and the brother of Laura Hartline, Brandon Gilbert, and Haley Gilbert.  

Krista Davis is a former LFO basketball player and a 2001 LFO alumni. After high school, Coach Davis attended Kennesaw State University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science upon graduation in 2005. Coach Davis spent 5 years working as a personal trainer after graduating with her degree. In 2008, she began coaching basketball at LFO High School while teaching at Lakeview Middle School. Coach Davis moved up to teach at LFO in 2012 and also began coaching track at that time. In 2015, Coach Davis was named the girls’ head track coach. Coach Davis completed her M.Ed. in Special Education from Valdosta State University and currently teaches Health, Physical Education, Weight Training, and Special Education. 

Coach Boyd has worked at LFO since 2016 and has been coaching track for the past 5 years. She graduated from high school in 1999 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Currently, Coach Boyd works as a parapro and an assistant coach for volleyball.
