Construction Technology Pathway

LFO's Construction Technology pathways are comprised of both the Electrical Pathway as well as the Carpentry Pathway. 

  • This pathway is designed to give students knowledge of all major aspects of Construction and Electrical Knowledge. Students will learn the fundamentals of the electrical trade, electrical theory, and the concepts used in Ohm's Law. Students are also introduced to atomic theory, electromotive force, and electric power equations. 

  • This pathway is designed to give students knowledge of all major aspects of Carpentry and Construction Knowledge. Students will learn the fundamentals of the carpentry trade, the variables that determine the rate and quality of construction materials, and the science behind constructing floor and wall systems.

Coordinator Information

Bio- Mr. Banks started teaching Construction in 2022 and in his spare time helps coach the wrestling team. He graduated with High Honors at GNTC with a degree in Construction Management. His professional experience includes residential/commercial construction, project management, and estimating/drafting/AutoCAD. His love for construction and the desire to help develop students' interest in pursuing a trade, made for the perfect career choice. “Our mission is to educate our students with specific knowledge and skills needed to be successful in their future careers. Students who successfully complete a CTAE “Career Pathway” are better prepared for high-demand occupations, technical and postsecondary education, and given the confidence to reach their dreams”.
