Athletic Directors

Corey Ortwein is a 2005 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.  He assumed the role of Athletic Director in 2023.   Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Athletic Director for 8 years under former ADs Chris Eaves and Brad Langford.  He has taught in the Special Education department at LFO since 2011.  Prior to joining the athletic department staff, Corey coached boys soccer and girls golf.  

Corey earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern University in 2010 and a Master’s Degree from Valdosta State University in 2019.  He lives in Fort Oglethorpe with his wife Ashley who is also a teacher at LFO.  They have two sons, Jack and Tate.

Corey Phillips serves as an Assistant Athletic Director at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, a role he began in 2025. A 2008 graduate of LFO and former multi-sport athlete, he is proud to give back to the school and athletic programs that played an important role in his own life.

Phillips has spent the past 14 years coaching a variety of sports, including basketball, golf, cross country, boys volleyball, and baseball. His coaching experience has allowed him to work with student-athletes in a variety of settings while emphasizing teamwork, leadership, commitment, and personal growth.

In addition to his athletic responsibilities, Phillips teaches Personal Finance and Economics to 12th-grade students at LFO. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Dalton State College and later earned both a master’s degree and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from the University of West Georgia.

Outside of school, Phillips enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their two children, Ellie and Oliver. He is proud to serve the LFO community and looks forward to continuing to support Warrior student-athletes, coaches, families, and all LFO athletic programs.

Kensey Holden serves as the Assistant Athletic Director at Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School, where she has been part of the LFO family since 2017. She is married to Matt Holden, LFO’s Head Baseball Coach, and together they have four children: Tenlee, Stone, Steele, and Stokes.

A lifelong multi-sport athlete, Kensey continued her softball career at Reinhardt University after high school. She has coached for 10 years, including seven years coaching softball at LFO. In addition to athletics, she has taught special education and currently teaches science.

Kensey earned her Master’s degree from Georgia Southern University in 2019 and her Specialist degree in 2022. She is excited to continue serving LFO students, athletes, families, and the community in her role as Assistant Athletic Director.
